Brendan Elliott
I’ve spent much of my life learning what it means to walk alongside people.
From underground coal mining to more than 25 years in Christian ministry, I’ve seen the value of having someone steady beside you—someone who listens, tells the truth with care, and helps you work out the next step.
The road that brought me here
I’m married to Kristy, my wife since 2002, and we have three daughters. Family has been one of the great privileges and responsibilities of my life, and continues to shape how I understand faithfulness, leadership and the people closest to us.
I’ve served in Christian ministry for more than 25 years, in both volunteer and paid roles. I was senior pastor of C3 Church Thirroul for more than six years, and today I’m Discipleship Pastor at C3 Powerhouse on the Sunshine Coast.
Since 2023, I’ve also been involved with Wild at Heart, where I serve as the Australian Ambassador. This work reflects my growing commitment to helping men explore their hearts, deepen their relationship with Jesus and become more fully the men God has called them to be.
Before and alongside ministry, I trained as an electrician and spent 15 years in underground coal mining. In that environment, the safety of yourself and others mattered. You learnt to pay attention, communicate clearly, look out for the person beside you and help when needed.
Those lessons have stayed with me. Whether in a mine, a family or a church, people need more than instructions. They need to be seen, listened to and supported as they work out what comes next.
why i do this?
I’ve spent years walking alongside people in ministry, leadership and everyday life. I’ve also learnt that being the person others rely on doesn’t mean you always know what to do with your own struggles.
Men can spend a long time carrying responsibility for others while having very few places where they can speak honestly about their own lives. Sometimes we need someone outside the situation who will listen, ask good questions and help us see what we might be missing.
That’s why I want to walk alongside men. Not because I have everything figured out, but because I believe following Jesus is a lifelong journey of formation, and we weren’t meant to walk it alone.
My hope is to offer a steady, honest space where men can pay attention to their lives, grow in faith and take their next faithful step.

I believe walking alongside others starts with a willingness to keep learning yourself.
I hold a Master of Arts in Leadership from the Australian College of Christian Studies, completed in 2019. I’m currently studying a Graduate Diploma in Psychology through the University of New England.
My study sits alongside years of ministry, leadership, family life and personal formation. I bring that experience into our conversations, while recognising that every man’s story is different and there is always more to learn.
